In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of top food delivery apps on the Android platform in Kenya showed varied trends in downloads and active user engagement. These insights, sourced from Sensor Tower, provide a snapshot of the market dynamics.

Glovo: Food & Grocery Delivery saw stable weekly downloads, starting at around 13.4K at the beginning of October and fluctuating throughout the quarter, peaking again at 12.1K in late December. Active users displayed a downward trend, dropping from approximately 227.8K to 186.2K by the end of December.

Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway experienced a gradual increase in downloads, rising from 4.4K to 5.7K towards the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 47.7K and ending at 59K, indicating consistent engagement.

Dial a Delivery showed a remarkable increase in downloads, beginning with only 683 and climbing to over 3.1K by the end of December.

Uber Eats: Food and Grocery saw a dramatic surge in downloads, especially in late December, jumping from about 830 to 13.2K. Active user numbers remained stable throughout the quarter, averaging around 40K.

Tushop: Quick Grocery Shopping had fluctuating download figures, with a high of 2.7K at the start of October, decreasing to 266 by the end of December.
